Karageosian EOOD was founded in 1991. Our business is focused primarily on the import, export, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, and other medical products.
The success and longevity of our company is directly attributable to our founder, mag. pharm. Gronik Karageosian. Gronik was a pioneer in the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Bulgaria and has over 50 years of experience. After graduating with a master’s degree in pharmaceutical science, he began his career as a pharmacist in Sofia, ultimately becoming the Managing Director of the sole pharmaceutical company in Bulgaria – “Medipharma 91” where he was responsible for the delivery and distribution of pharmaceutical products, stomatology, surgical, optical and other medical products to all hospitals and pharmacies across the country. Mr. Karageosian’s vast experience facilitates the many contacts and connections utilized daily by Karageosian EOOD, including dealings with the Ministry of Health, IAL, hospitals across the nation and others.
Today, our company’s leadership has been entrusted to a second generation of our founder’s family. Mrs. Elvira Tancheva, a practicing attorney-at-law, is our Chief Operating Officer.
Our company employs a staff of 20. Their extraordinary abilities and talent are a big part of our success. Each member of our staff has a master’s degree in pharmaceutical science, economics, or legal studies and has pursued specialization at renowned universities in Bulgaria and abroad.
Karageosian EOOD distributes pharmaceutical products for the following companies: Abbot, Pfizer, Aventis, Novartis, Astra Zeneca, La Roche, BBraun, Beaufour Ipsen, Nycomed, Servier, Rhone Poulenc, Asta Medica, Berlin Chemie, Boehringer Ingelheim, Boiron, CSC Pharmaceuticals, KRKA, Lek, Sanofi Synthelabo, Kyowa Nippon Kayaku, and many others.
Our company undertook the initial registration in Bulgaria for the products of companies such as: Lachema, Bionorica, Dolorgiet, TEVA, Zyololek, and Rowa Wagner. We hold an exclusive distribution license for all Rowa Wagner products.
Karageosian EOOD also has an expanding portfolio of distributing homeopathic and alternative medicine. Since 1996 we have imported over 350 varieties of BOIRON’s homeopathic products.
Our distribution center is based out of a warehouse in Sofia city center. We have an expansive distribution network across Bulgaria: in Northern Bulgaria (Pleven and Rousse), in Southern Bulgaria (Plovdiv and Stara Zagora), and in Eastern Bulgaria (Varna and Burgas). Our company owns a fleet of vehicles utilized to transport products across the country and has a proven track record of expediency and meeting tight deadlines.
Our networks in hospitals and pharmacies across the country rely not only on our own staff but also on the assistance of a number of pharmaceutical representatives.
Karageosian EOOD also imports and exports pharmaceutical products, originating in Bulgaria and Europe, to and from Greece, Russia, Macedonia, Serbia and other countries.
